The Courtyard Gallery runs art classes for people of all ages and ability levels. Rooms are available for seminars and workshops.

For Children: Starting Sat 28th January. Age 5-9 years

Avril O'Brien runs our popular Saturday morning art & craft classes.  A wide range of fun-filled activities is covered, from drawing and painting to clay work, mosaic, puppets, masks, weaving, etc. Classes are from 10.30 to 12.30, and cost 85 Euro for 6 weeks. Booking is essential.
Specially tailored, themed activities are also offered for school groups.
NEW:

For Children: Age 8 - 13 Animation Classes.
 Starting Sat 4th January. With Belinda Walsh
6 Week Course 85 Euro.

Course includes: Creating characters with plasticine, clay, recycled materials ect and learning how to make them come alive.
Developing a theme by making a storyboard with pen and paper.
How to use webcam and animation program
How to record soulds and voices and synchronize these with images.
Adding visual and audio effects, transitions, looping techniques.
Saving finished animation with title and credits and downloading it to you tube.
Making flipbooks.
So at the end of the 6 week course each group will have a final animation on youtube and a flip book.
Limited number of places available, so early booking is advisable.

For Adults:

From September to May, daytime and evening classes are offered by experienced tutors who are all practising artists. Classes are available in oil, acrylics and watercolour. All levels are catered for, and beginners are welcome.

Tuesday or Thursday mornings 10.30 to 1: oil / acrylic painting with Margaret Walsh. Small class sizes allow for all levels to be accommodated, including beginner. 150 Euro for 10 weeks. Starting 24th/26th Jan
Tuesday evenings 7.30 to 10: oil / acrylic painting with Erika Hellmich.
Suitable for all levels. 150 Euro for 10 weeks. Starting 24th Jan

Wednesday mornings and afternoons 10 to 1 or 2 to 5: Watercolour painting with Barbara Barrett. Suitable for all levels. Starting 25th January

Wednesday evenings 7 to 8.30pm Interior Design Course with Lindsay Bertra  Dip Int Des. Cost 150 Euro for 8 weeks. Starting 18th January

Thursday evenings 7 to 10 and
Friday mornings 10 to 1: Patchwork classes with Moya Geraghty of Patchwork Plus. 10 week course, suitable for all levels. Machines provided if needed. Starting 19th/20th Jan
Also, Friday afternoon classes for teenagers
